Get to Know Series: Stan Wallis
We took the opportunity to catch up with Stan! Stan is our lead lawn treatment technician who along with his usual routes, is a key player with his role within the recruitment, onboarding and continuous development of our technician team.
Stan largely looks after our customers in the north / north east of our coverage area to include his base-town of Burton-upon-Trent, nearby Ashby, along with Lichfield, Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield from time to time.
What is your favourite lawn treatment cycle?
T1’s (Early-Spring) - I love seeing blossom on the trees, daffodils and snowdrops appearing and feeling the warmer temperatures return. I like being able to see first time customers lawns transformed within this treatment when we can control moss, weeds and provide healthy growth all in one visit.
Best customer treat...?
Freshly baked mince pies.
(They don't ask for much do they! Stan does seem to get the most coffee offers mind!))
What is your van music taste like?
I like listening to talk sport on the way home, but will also have music playlists and listen to current affairs podcasts.
(If you're a sports fan then you're in safe hands with Stan!)

Being a father to my 2 beautiful children.
Having worked in several top sporting venues in my career to date.
What are your favourite lawn care machines to use?
The Camon LS42 with tungsten tipped renovation blade cassette. I like how versatile it is, with excellent manoeuvrability and great depth settings, for light scarifying or heavy renovation work. I feel it is the machine I can achieve the most tidy job with.
What are your biggest three lawn care tips for a homeowner?
- Choose the right mower for the size and shape of lawn, one with rear roller as a preference
- Never assume the mowing season is over!
- Don’t cut the lawn too short.
